How to add custom fields to a custom Shopify product page

I need to add a couple data fields to some of the product pages I have. I download a video from Youtube but it must be an old one since the instructions don't match with my current Shopify.

I need to add "text fields" so customers can provide the information; i.e.

Name: 30-40 characters

Rank: 20-30 characters

Any assistance would be appreciated.

If the custom fields are merely informative and not upsell items, you can use line items.

I've created the line items; however, the fields are different and its for only 2-3 of my products.  If I add to the template; it displays in all the products.

Do you offer a service to make the changes for me? If yes, what is the cost?

Don't worry about the cost, 

just follow me...

just put this code in product.template.liquid

place below code above tybe submit, search for type, you will see, if not see, search type bottom, or form tag,, if not see..look for snipet..............or place whereever you want. 

{% for tag in product.tags %}

{% if tag contains "give_your_product_tag_name_here" %}

paste the code you grab from this website here

{% endif %}

{% endfor %}

after that which ever product you want to make textbox bottom then, just put the tag in proudct give_your_product_tag_name_here....
