How to add padding to banner image that is on my front page? Dawn theme

Hi there, 

I'd like to remove the full width banner image and mimic the padding that is throughout my site for the landing page banner image. how can i do this? I am using the dawn theme

If you are familiar with the theme code , then add the dawn theme container class page-width in image-banner.liquid or slideshow section after the main div
