How to auto update cart section on a custom page?

1. I am using cart section on a custom page (contact form page). When I add product to cart it does not update in cart section unless I manually refresh the entire page.

2. Also the cart buttons "remove" and "update"  redirects to original cart page which I don't want, I want to remain on same page. the buttons are performing their functions but show changes on refreshing the entire page . I think the redirection is due buttons type submit but how can we resolve this?
