How To Change Page Title In Google Search, i wish to change the text of the top title that shows up in google result, any help will be very appreciated!!
Hi, @jackdainels111!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
I understand that you would like to change the page title in your Google listing. Keep in mind that search engines compare the title tag with your page content to determine whether the page title matches what the page is about. You can do this by following the steps below:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Preferences.
Enter a title and meta description for your store, following SEO best practices.
Click Save.
Also, the google search results may take some time to update as Google will periodically recrawl your website to update the content. You can also ask them to recrawl your website sooner if you would like.
As you know, search engine optimization (SEO) is a great way to increase organic traffic to your website is through the use of relevant keywords that your target customers will likely search for on Google. Check out this resource on how to increase SEO and learn more about how the process.
Let me know how that goes!

i did change the title and meta description in prefrences, its not the solution, it dont change the top title of google result
I am having the same problem. Changed the title and meta description in preferences and re-indexed through Google Search Console. It's been a couple of days, and still showing the domain name as the main site title.
Did you fix that?
Hi, did you fix that? or anyone from Shopify support.
Hi, @Skin3!
Thanks for jumping in on the thread. You might need to wait a couple of weeks for your edits to display in search engine results. It can take some time for search engines to crawl and re-index your content.
Depending on the search terms and the user (their location, history, etc), even once a page is indexed its results may show differently than expected. More info on that from Google here.
Additionally, Google won't index the entirety of a site. Their documentation explicitly states that "Google doesn't crawl all the pages on the web, and we don't index all the pages we crawl." It's perfectly normal for not all the pages on a site to be indexed." Additional information in their docs.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!

hi, please check picture, what's inside the green is what I need to replace for my page tile, how can I do that? thanks
Hey there, @Skin3! Thanks for following up with us here with that specific question!
That specific information there is not something that you can manually change within Shopify, or within Google. The information presented here is chosen by Google based on how they opt to organize and present your store's information after crawling your website with their bots. With that being said, you are able to assign and outline a preference for Google when presenting this information. I have a document here from Google's Developer documents that outlines how you can outline for Google how you would like this information to be presented. I hope you find this helpful!
