I want to add my products to product comparing sites in Latvia and they require an XML product file hosted on my store.
You can see the instructions here: https://www.kurpirkt.lv/veikaliem.php / https://www.salidzini.lv/shops_info.php
It is in Latvian, but you can probably google translate the requirements.
I have created an XML file for my products and uploaded it to Shopify files. Then I gave the link to these websites and it works, but the XML file isn't automated and I have to manually update the information.
Is there a way to automate this process?
I have found some other solutions in the app store, but after the <root> they add <product> to start the product section, but these product comparing websites require <item> to separate products, so they don't work.
Thanks in advance!
Hi. Same problem.
Can you advice how to even create this XML, can't figure it out. Also needed for salidzini and kurpirkt.
Thanx
Hello,
With Multifeeds for Google Shopping, you can create daily updated XML feeds that include your product. The app also hosts the generated files and you will be able to use the feed URLs for the product comparing services. The XML files can be fully customized, including the tags and the data that needs to be included. It can also be scheduled to be refreshed at specific times of day or to run more frequently than once a day.
I went through the comparing service documentation and it only require the feed to be "hosted on the Internet", but you mentioned it needs to be hosted "on your store". Did you mean it has to be on your store domain, as it seems not required by the comparing service?
