Hey there,
One of our products is an online course hosted on thinkific and I want to update the order pages and confirmation emails for this product so that it lets them know that they will receive an email with instructions to access.
In a dream world the order details button would also link them to the course for this product - but that may be too much to ask.
Any ideas how to do this?
Hi @seethedifferenc, You can customize the Thank You page and Order Status Page using the Shopify additional scripts.
You can find the additional script in the Shopify settings.
To access it go to Shopify Settings -> Checkout. Review the screenshot for your reference.

I actually made an app that covers this exact use case. You can add either buttons or a message with a link in it. Its called Checkout Plus https://apps.shopify.com/checkoutplus It leverages Shopify's new Thank you page and Order Status extensibility to add different components to the page. It is also available to all Shopify Plans
Here is a quick example I made for you:
Greetings,
I am currently developing a checkout extension for Shopify and making it available for all Shopify plans, including Basic. However, when I try to install my app via custom distribution in a store whose plan is Basic, I cannot add my extension to the store as it does not have Checkout Extensibility.
What I find weird is that in Shopify documentation it is mentioned that the Thank you & Order status extensions are available for all plans, except initial, as shown in the screenshot below;
Even at this page (https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/build/checkout#checkout-ui-extensions) is stated that it's available since May 2024 for all plans above Started.
