How to display precise 3-digit numbers in metadata without truncation?

We have a store which sell products with very specific sizes.

For example:  Thickness = 0.225 in, Width = 0.35 in, Length = 2.265 in

As these values are critical, they can not be for example: 0.23 in or 0.22 in

Is there a way to have the metadata values used in such a way

1) They can be filtered?

2) They can be displayed in the theme without rounding or truncating?
