How to edit apple-app-site-association and assetlinks.json

Hi there, wondering how I can edit the apple-app-site-association and assetlinks.json files hosted on my store's website. I am able to access the default files when I go to MY_DOMAIN/.well-known/apple-app-site-association and MY_DOMAIN/.well-known/assetlinks.json. However, I can't find any official documentation about how to edit these files. Would appreciate any help.
