How to handle color variants when one is out of stock on Shopify?

Hello,

i recently switch my website from wordpress to Shopify and iam glad i did this, but iam facing a big problem which in result is confusing my customers.

My products have colour variants so i was told by the developer to arrange the colour name and pictures in the exact same way, for example if the colour names goes like ‘Red , Green, White’ and then the pictures should be arranged in the same manner like First dhould be Red, then Green and White in the last.

The problem occurs when the middle colour gets out of stock, for example if the green colour or red colour gets out of stock, website shows different pictures on colour tab, like it will show white on red tab and its really confusing for customers. I have to manually check the priducts after every hour to re arrange the colour and keep the ‘OUT OF STOCK’ ones in the end ( both picture and name) to avoid this problem.

Did you link the variant to the right image or you are relying on the arrangements method only?

Yes i always link the the variants with their images after arrangements. But still facing this issue..
