How to include external JavaScript in new Shopify's one page checkout?

Hello,

we are planning to upgrade a new one page checkout. We would like to advise, how to implement external script, for example Google Tag Manager, in the checkout on Shopify Plus. 

Until now we could implement the script using checkout.liquid, but this is no longer possible.

It looks like Shopify is planning to discontinue the support for external scripts loaded on the checkout page.

+1 Also want to add gorgias live chat script there. But haven't found a way to do it
