Hi all,
I manage a shopify store that has 4 country versions, all setup via hreflang. This is super annoying as it means when I want to add a new product I have to do it 4 times. I've gotten all the sites to a pretty good point and it's pretty much set and forget now.
I am about to launch a new site that I plan on going global with. I don't really want to do the same thing again with 5 sites (effort + fees), instead I was thinking a singular site that can target multiple regions, using a directory rather than a new TLD.
For example:
Sweden: https://www.apple.com/se
Australia: https://www.apple.com/au
UK: https://www.apple.com/uk
Obviously Apple doesn't use Shopify; but I was wondering if something like this would be possible. I would be happy for an app that does this. There's obviously quite a few considerations such as localized pricing, hreflang, etc. but i'm sure there are others who have had this problem.
