How to remove unwanted text from Google Shopping product title

Hi,

I've been trying to remove unwanted variation, size information, and my store name from the product title in Google Shopping but I can't figure out how. For example, the title shows up as

Product Name By my-store-name | one size | infant | unisex

I want to remove "By my-store-name | one size | infant | unisex"

I only want the title to be the product name. 

Anyone know how I can fix this?

You can use feed rules. Specifically search and replace

For example search for my-store-name and leave replace blank, and it will get removed.

Or you can update it using a spreadsheet using a supplement feed

Or you can manually edit products in Google Merchant Center > Products > all products > click on your product > click on the edit icon in the top left corner.

I am going to manually edit some Product Titles in my Google Merchant account.

I have a question though:

Will Shopify keep auto-syncing and changing my product titles back automatically?

As it is, the product title is created in my google merchant center automatically by Shopify, whenever, I create a new product).

Does Shopify only sync to Google Merchant center when the product is created?

Does it sync every time a product is even EDITED after?

Or does it just sync automatically every few hours / days, even if NO changes are made to the product on Shopify?

I'm just afraid that after I manually edit a product title directly on Google Merchant Center, Shopify will auto sync, and change it back  🙂

Should I Edit my Product Titles through the actual Google Channel, through my Shopify Admin instead?????
