How to setup New Shopify Store with subdomain

Hello,

I'd like to provide as much clarity as possible on my requirements:

I currently own a domain with GoDaddy, used for my primary website, www.domain.com. This domain is accessed by users anywhere and all users who want to go to my site will go to www.domain.com from social media or google ....etc

To cater to my expansion into the country LEBANON, I've set up a second Shopify store (for multiple reasons beyond this discusion). I plan to link this store to a new subdomain, specifically https://lb.domain.com.

The purpose of this subdomain is to direct visitors from Lebanon who access www.domain.com automatically to https://lb.domain.com, ensuring they experience content tailored to their region.

Here's what I need:

  1. A detailed guide on creating the subdomain https://lb.domain.com at GoDaddy.
  2. Instructions on how to configure my new Shopify store so that it's the destination for https://lb.domain.com.
  3. A step-by-step guide on setting up a geo-based redirection from www.domain.com to https://lb.domain.com for visitors from Lebanon.

Please help if you can.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Z

Hi @ZahiEA,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'd be happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved.

While you will want to connect with GoDaddy directly for guidance on how to purchase a subdomain, we have a great guide available that outlines how you can connect a subdomain to your shop. To learn more about this and for step-by-step instructions you can check out our Connecting a Third-Party Subdomain to Shopify document.

If you have any troubles with the steps outlined in the document shared above, please feel free to let us know.
