I bought an existing shopify store and I am trying to update the bank account but it is asking for the old bank account number which I don't have? What am I supposed to do?

For more context, when updating Shopify Payments bank details the system requires that the old bank details are entered in order to save the new details successfully. This is a security measure to help payouts in being sent through to the correct bank account.

 

If you don't know the old bank details however and are running into issues with updating your account, our live support team can assist with this matter. Once logged in, select a topic that best fits your query or situation.
