How to use 'vendor field as metaobject

Hello,

I was wondering how I would go about adding the below 'Vendor' field as a meta object so I can start using the Vendor field rather than adding these into Collections. Thanks.

Hi,

1. Go to Shopify Admin

- Log in to your Shopify Admin.

- Click Settings (bottom left).

- Select Custom data → Metaobjects (scroll down, and find "Add definition")

2. Create a New Metaobject

- Click Add definition.

- Enter Name: vendor.

- Choose Type: You can set it as Single line text (or another type depending on your needs).

3. Create product's metafields reference to the created metaobject

- Select Custom data → Products

- Click Add definition.

- Choose Type: Metaobject (one you created before)

5. Assign the Metaobject to Products

- Select a product and scroll down to Metafields.

- Find vendor metafield and enter the appropriate value.

- Click Save.
