Hello,
We've encountered an issue related to hreflang. For some reason, they stopped working on additional markets and for the language subfolder.
For example, our main store yoko.lv is in Latvian, and we also have a Russian version located in the subfolder yoko.lv/ru. Everything works perfectly on this market.
However, there are issues on additional markets, such as Lithuania. On the Lithuanian domain yoko.lt, everything works fine, but as soon as we switch to yoko.lt/ru, the hreflang tags stop working correctly. For some products and collections, they fail to function properly. Not for all. We noticed this issue from SEMrush reports, and the problem was first detected on July 10th.
The same situation for other markets that have an additional language in the subfolder
The error shown is Hreflang redirect. I will also attach a screenshot from the report.
We reached out to Shopify, and our request was forwarded to the technical department for investigation. It's still unclear whether the issue is on Shopify's side or due to an application responsible for content translation or SEO.
