I can no longer access Google Custom Labels 0-4 in Shopify bulk editor

I am no longer able to edit Google Custom Label fields in bulk editor - they are no longer available as columns in the bulk editor view, so there seems to be no way of editing them! I use them to filter my products for google shopping campaigns and I dont want to have to go into Merchant centre to make changes.

Is anyone else having this issue and is there a workaround/solution, or is a temporary technical issue?

Hi,

I don't see the Google Shopping fields either in the dropdown in the Shopify bulk editor. It's a little bit a of a workaround but you can still get the columns to appear by modifying the URL of the page in the bulk editor.

First of all go to the products page of your admin and take everything before "/products":

Then add this text to the end of the URL:

/bulk?resource_name=Product&edit=metafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_0%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_1%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_2%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_3%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_4

This should result in a URL like this:

admin.shopify.com/store/example-store/bulk?resource_name=Product&edit=metafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_0%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_1%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_2%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_3%2Cmetafields.mm-google-shopping.custom_label_4

If you go to that URL, you should see the columns in the Shopify bulk editor:

I know it's a hassle but if you bookmark the URL it should be pretty easy to access.

Finally, if you're open to using a third-party our Ablestar Bulk Product Editor lets you quickly bulk edit Google Shopping fields with previews, undos and spreadsheet imports/exports. Here's a quick walkthrough:

Let me know if you have any problems creating the URL and I can take a deeper look for you.

Best,

Daniel

Thank you, I shall give this a go, could be a useful workaround in the meantime.

I shall do that, thank you, although I suspect it's more of a Shopify issue rather than a Google one?

Google were actually a lot more responsive than I expected and were actually able to restore the relevant columns so they now appear in the default view in Bulk Editor!
