Hi,

I've spent quite a bit of time just trying to contact customer support through the chat.  Issues I have run into:

1. One of the links to the support page goes bizarre and says page not found.  The new URL it creates has like 10-12 additions of our store on it.  I took out our store code and replaced with x's.

2. I try going to the support page with the assistant.  It keeps wanting me to select a store to continue but guess what, that's the problem I am having and it won't like me talk to a support advisor because I haven't selected the store.

3. The store owner, my boss, has contacted the support advisor and she was told that *I* must start the chat and she, the support advisor had no idea how to get past the assistant.  In fact, the support advisor just stopped responding altogether.

 

As you can imagine this is very frustrating to me and my boss.  It isn't making our job any easier.

HOW do I contact a support advisor when the assistant won't let me?

Hi MNJohnC,

 

I agree; it's frustrating that you have to log in to access support documentation...

 

When I've faced similar issues with logging into Shopify, here's what I do:

  1. Log out of Shopify completely. I'm fairly certain you can go directly to shopify.com/logout
  2. Press CTRL-SHIFT-I (or OPT+CMD+I on Mac) to open Developer Tools. Right-click the refresh button, and click "Empty cache and hard reload."
  3. Log into Shopify again.
