I repurchased a domain but gets error that says "A store with that domain name already exists"

Hello,

 

On July 15, I went to repurchase my domain through shopify again and it went through. But it gives me an error of "A store with that domain name already exists."

 

I don't really understand why it can't simple reconnect. I've already contact support but they keep telling me their team is working on it but it has been over 2 weeks since I first reached out.

 

I am pretty upset since I am losing buisness and hope if someone can tell me if there is something I can do to get my domain to work or if I just need to cancel and find another platform.
