Advertising on social media as much as I can, analysts, merchant, tag, pixel, maybe it may be wrong, but everything seems to be OK, just why I didn't sell

Hi @Ozzy3

Advertising on social media is needed but first, your store has to be fully ready and optimized. And your store is not for me.

I mean there is a lot of good but several things could be improved.

First I do not like the choice of colors, but that could be just me. But what some customers will have issues for sure is white text on that light blue background. The contrast is to low and it is on some parts hard to read.

I do not like your menu, you need to do two clicks to come to collections. And with collections, I think you should organize them better. Most of the products are new products and discounted products. But your main collections just below the hero slider contain just a few products or 8 for Backpack and 6 of them are out of stock plus they are not all backbacks, right?

And I am not too sure of your contact information, that Gmail email does not look too professional, right? You should try to make one from your domain.

And there is no clear business information, no phone. And the address is maybe true. But that all does not give me enough trust in you so I would leave my credit card and my address information.

With products, I have some complaints, like images, product titles, and some long descriptions that all look too much like Aliexpress people now can easily search by image and just leave your site and buy elsewhere.

Good luck and hope sales do pick up.

Kind regards

Hi @Ozzy3 ,

Your store's UI looks good, but not necessarily functional UX wise. Also there's too much going on for certain areas, may come off as pushy. When it comes to e-commerce, sometimes less is more. Let me address some of the improvements:

Landing Page:

  • First impression matters a lot. When I landed on your store, I was welcomed with 6 pop-ups one after another. Surely cookie is necessary, but all other 5 are just redundant. That'll frustrate considerable amount of customer and increase bounce rates. Because they won't sign up to anything before seeing your store. If there are offers you wish to include as pop-up, I suggest providing them with triggers, and definitely not on first land. Examples: When they scroll certain amount, visit another page, add a product to cart etc. You should hook visitors, before pop-ups. This alone will be a considerable improvement.
  • The menu looks fine, but not functional. I advise not using hamburger menu on desktop, not a good choice for your niche. I suggest organizing categories and providing a mega menu on hover, where visitors can reach to the desired category with 1 click, instead of 3.
  • Your banner images are fine, but text are without any contrast with white text on light background on mobile. White text on light background, won't work. First thing visitors see, shouldn't be a non-readable banner. As a quick fix, I advise using a dark layer for mobile versions.
  • Make sure other sections are served with contrast too. I'd also like to address value proposition. Let's look at:
    ErayBarslan_0-1736152251075.png
  • I understand the blue is the brand color, but I'd advise not use it on texts. Also I'd advise to align long texts to left. It may look good, but not functional UX wise. Center alignment would work if the text is 1-2 lines and is at the center of the page.
  • I'd also advise to work on the value proposition both on title and paragraph. First, the title "100% customer satisfaction" is too generic and overused, primarily by drop shipping stores. It may come off as untrustworthy. Exploring options like: "Your Reliable Shelter, Anywhere" could work better.
  • The text is a bit long. I understand we wish to talk about the quality and convince visitors, but visitors skim through text, don't fully read it. The value should be provided in a concise and digestible way with a glance. Just point out key points to keep them interested and click on the CTA to learn more. It could also move away from the generic tone used by AI. I suggest working a consistent brand tone (casual, friendly, playful, empathetic, inspirational etc.), and adjust the copy accordingly so it feels natural and personal to your brand.
  • And the image's height for the section is a bit too much compared to text. Layout should feel balanced.
  • I don't think the marquee effect is necessary, especially on desktop:
    ErayBarslan_1-1736153359949.png
  • It's a cool effect, but not necessary for this section where the entire text is already visible for desktop at least. Also it doesn't work as intended. On desktop it directly blinks into page instead of sliding in, and on mobile there is ~5 seconds where nothing is visible.
  • Also custom icons in similar style would work better than generic symbols. It's great to mention free shipping worldwide, but not sure about "quality products". Again, it's overused by drop shipping brands. Visitors should be convinced into quality naturally, whilst surfing your page and products.

  • Also I should note that, the menu on mobile keeps sliding in and out when the screen is steady, I suspect it's due the announce bar text changing. It can be fixed. But I suggest serving menu with fixed position, always present at top so visitors can easily navigate without having to scroll top.

Categories & Products:

  • Categories and their listed products require immediate attention. You have 100+ products in total, but only 12 included in the 6 categories listed, and half with "sold out". Some are in wrong categories. Backpacks and equipment have same exact products. And you won't need "Fishing equipment" and "Lures" just for 2 products where one is shared.
  • The titles are a bit long, keep a consistent and short style across all product titles. The product images, especially the main ones should be consistent as well, and with high quality.
    ErayBarslan_2-1736155389616.png
These products are similar, but images feel out of place and seem untrustworthy. The visitors may not exactly be able to tell why they didn't trust, but they'll certainly feel that way, especially if inconsistencies add up. Let's look at:
    ErayBarslan_3-1736155552447.png
  • These are supposed to be 2 different tents, but using the same imagery one with wrong brand. Also you shouldn't be having any Chinese copy, as they're not your target audience. The image quality on some of the products are also low.
  • Also, I advise including brand names by replacing "EcoCampers". It's already obvious that the products are sourced from elsewhere, which is completely. There are brands, who offer products from other brands but customers buy from them because they trust and know they'll find what they want. For white-label products with no brand, it's fine to keep EcoCampers.
  • The product pages needs adjustments too. They currently feel like simply imported from Chinese marketplaces. I'd advise going through each product (if 100+ is too much, you can curate your list for start), work on the descriptions and images as well. Images and their copy used in "specifications" section should follow a consistent style across all product, customized for your brand. Also the information should be provided in a digestible way, some of them are way too long. Same information can be provided in a concise and eye pleasing approach. For top section:
    ErayBarslan_4-1736156576345.png
  • The main description needs rework on many products. This isn't a copy a visitor should first see about the product:
    ErayBarslan_5-1736156728851.png
  • The swatches aren't intuitive, especially for products with non-color swatches. Something like below could work better:
    ErayBarslan_6-1736156839138.png
  • Don't think it's necessary to mention about the seller, product tags alike. Instead you may point out few key features about the product, or simply remove to make sure visitors see details.
  • Product features are not complete. They simply go through colors but nothing else.
  • Shipping and refund information is missing on the product page. As you already have horizontal accordions, I'd advise to include these in a new tab.
  • Alternatively, you can include a dynamic estimated delivery based on customer's location. I understand it may take time for some products to arrive. But customers value transparency. Shipping time is already something they look at, and being upfront will be seen as more professional.
  • Also on mobile, the "add to cart" button is blinking. It may come off us unprofessional and pushy. The sticky add bar at bottom grabs enough attention to add already.

Addressing above points could significantly improve your store. But much more can be done for UX. I advise looking at competitors who are making sales and see what works for them, and use as inspiration. Also, using heatmaps would be very beneficial for your store. You can identify where users struggle, or leave website. Then apply A/B tests to improve these areas (unless the fix is obvious).

Additional Suggestions:

  • When I feel that I can't trust a store but still want to order, first thing I do is to check the social accounts. The social links for your store are dead. And the only one that works has minimal engagement. I'd advise to remove socials if no account, and focus on few for the start. I understand you use ads on socials. However I suggest using organic growth too. This won't simply help with traffic, but build legitimacy and community. It could especially work well for your brand.
  • There's a lot of content you could provide to camp lovers, not just products. Even if they don't receive high engagement initially, if a visitor knows that you're genuine and providing valuable information that they may like; they can go ahead and buy from you.
  • Having blogs are great. But currently they're there just to be there. I'd suggest providing a content that your target audience may find valuable, and be able to rank on search engines. Going after niche keywords could work better for start.
  • Campers love nature. And you may consider a brand strategy (also to give back to nature) with an approach like:
    ErayBarslan_0-1736160555286.png
Of course it should be genuine, transparent and an amount you can share from your profits. Not a necessity but it can help build a community around your brand, along with other valuable content. With this approach, visitors who love and want to preserve nature (which is your entire target audience) may be inclined to purchase from you, even knowing that the products are sourced with drop shipping method.
  • EcoCampers is a great brand name. However ".com" for ecocampers is already taken and it could hurt in the long run. When a user searches your brand on google, it should be able to rank first, otherwise they would think the site with ".com" is the legitimate one. Even if your main audience is from UK, I'd search for a domain available for both "com" and "co.uk". I understand it may not be an easy decision, and you already have a good looking logo. But something I advise to consider.

Your brand has a good foundation with a clear niche and a functional site. It can definitely be successful, however there are many things can be improved from design to general brand strategy.

I hope these suggestions will help your brand succeed. Good luck on your journey! Feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.
