Hi all,
I run editions theme. On my home page I have some 'featured collections' showcasing products. Some of the images are cut off and some are not. The cut off images look messy. The aspect ratio is set as 1:1. If I set it to natural then the images are not cut off but are all irregular sizes.
This also occurs on my collections pages.
Is there a way to have all images of the same size and ratio but none of them cut off (do they get automatically resized to fit?)
Thanks
Paul
I would need to see the site in question to help with this one.
Hey Paul,
After looking at your site I do see what you mean about some images being cutoff in a 1x1 aspect ratio. If you are looking for a consistent 1x1 ration across your site to keep it nice and clean, then your best bet in this situation is to make all of your images 1x1 also.
Normally I would open photoshop and create a blank 600x600(just an example size) image and then drag and drop all of your images to fit that area. This is the BEST way to keep all of your images nice and clean across the entire site.
You could add this custom css that will make the images their default size, but your quick shop button won't align perfectly to every image now.
img.product-item__image-primary {
height: unset;
}
Thank you, so basically it would be better to have all my images at 1:1 as standard before uploading them. I can do that by creating a blank image and placing them in it .. I use GIMP (badly) so will figure it from there.
Thanks!
Paul
Yup, exactly!
