Is it possible to add a service-based subscription to my store without an app?

I want to add a subscription to my shopify store. But I am providing a service for the subscription, rather than selling a product. Is there a way to do that without buying an app? https://floliving.com/product/the-cycle-syncing-membership

Thank you for the solution. One issue I am facing that my customers can't manage the subscription from there shopify store account. everytime when they need to manage subscription they need to enter the email and they get one time passcode. but I need them to able to manage the subscription through the customer account dashboard.

Customers should be able to mange their subscriptions by logging into their account from the shops navigation. To learn more about this, you can check out this Guide. If they're not seeing this option when following those steps, please be sure to let us know.
