Hi Guys, E-Commerce Agency here.
We are currently running several Development Shops as a PoC and gathering tons of Knowledge how it all works together. We are coming from Magento, and wonder if there is a way to lock up certain Options inside of the Shopify Backend to prevent the StoreOwner from messing around with the Settings. In Magento, we can do this straight from the Terminal, the Option still appears in the Backend, but is greyed-out. As further we go into gathering Information how Shopify works this question was raised. Google Research wasn't really that helpful.
This might be a big stretch, because shopify is made for no-code-savvy people, but maybe there is a function for disabling the customizer of the current Production Theme i.e. ? Or can we achieve this with a proper permission ruleset for dev's and storeowner ?
Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance !
After some Research on that Topic, it seems this is not a feature straight out-of-the-box and needs to be build with an app. I will update this Thread as soon i have more Information.
