Is using a VPN beneficial for UK store security?

In order to protect my store more and customer data would a VPN help? Are there any other safeguards I can take to make my store secur. I am U.K. based and sell only within the U.K. any advice welcomed.

thank you for these valuable tips. Some of which I’m doing. I agree and want to make it has 100% secure as possible. I will implement these tips. Can anyone suggest a good but not too expensive VPN?
