Hello Shopify Community,
I'm facing a perplexing issue and I'm hoping someone here might shed some light on it. While events like 'add to cart' and 'checkout' are being tracked just fine in GA4, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads, 'purchase' events seem to be slipping through the cracks when it comes to actual customer actions. Oddly enough, when I conduct tests in GTM or use the Facebook Event Tester, the purchase events fire without a hitch. However, this issue persists only when real customers complete a purchase.
Purchase event is not firing for quid bit now. I've double-checked all the standard settings and configurations, and everything appears to be in order.
Has anyone encountered this specific issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it? I'm all ears for any insights or tips you might have.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Professorx1,
It happens when datalayer fails to push event. I faced it before. Furthermore if you setup conversion tracking only from browser side its not going to track customer events. Ad blocker and IOS 14 update block marketing cookies to store. besides 3rd party cookies can't function so its better to setup first party domain with server side tracking via google tag manager.
Thanks

Hi @Sam_ian
I am having a similar problem. When I test with a small number of orders, the results are ok, but in the production environment, when my customers buy products, about 1000 orders, my GA4 data misses about 60 to 70 orders. I am using customer events to track data, I don't know if you have encountered this problem and have a way to fix it.
