Limit number of each item in cart

I am selling one-of-a-kind, original paintings on this website, https://newdawnart.com/. When I go to checkout, it allows me to select more than one of each item. I need all items to be set to "1" and not allow someone to put in more than that in their cart. I have "1" listed as quantity on hand but that is not preventing this situation. Can someone tell me what to turn on to limit how many of each can be added to cart?

Hello,

The first thing that comes to mind for your requirements is the Order Limits (MinMaxify) app.

I know that this will allow you to set a maximum (as well as minimum) product quantity.

From your post here, it sounds like you also want to restrict which products a customer can purchase as well as limiting the quantity of that item to one per customer?

I'm not 100% certain, but it does sound from the app store page description that this app should also be able to limit:

* Number of items for a specific product
* Number of items within a group of products

You need to apply a custom solution for it. I don't think there is a default option available in your theme to manage it.
If you can code you can get idea from here:
1) On every click of atc check whether this product is in cart or not, If yes display a message to customer else add product to cart.
2) Hide the quantity selector from the product and cart page.
