Good evening,
I have a MacBook Pro Mid-2015 that was working perfectly, except the battery needed to be replaced. Last week, I took it to an iServices store, and they replaced the battery for me. When I got home, I did a standard system reset to keep things clean. After reinstalling everything, I noticed that when I open Chrome and go to the Shopify page, the Mac’s fans start running, and then a few seconds later, the Mac shuts down. This only happens on the Shopify page (never happened before), and it occurs right at the login. I tried another browser, Vivaldi, and the same thing happens. However, with Safari, nothing unusual happens, but it’s not very optimized for editing Shopify pages, so it's not very useful to me.
I tested streaming and working on other things on all browsers—Chrome, Firefox, and Vivaldi—and they all worked without issues, running for hours without any crash. But as soon as I open the Shopify page, the problem occurs. Is there a fix for this? Could it be a GPU issue? Or is it something on Shopify's end? Can anyone help, or will I need to take the Mac back to iServices?
