Went to checkout a retail customer and the barcode reader did not recognize the product UPC. Checked the listing on my management page and discovered the product quantity, price, and UPC code for a sample pack of 2 automatically changes to the full pack of 10 listing. This is happening to numerous product listings as I type this message.
This has never happened before and making it difficult to checkout retail customers and for online buyers to purchase products at the correct price.
Anyone else seeing this happen to their listing?
Do your products have variants by any chance?
Not sure if this is related but I've just reported a bug to support which they verified which seems to be affecting products with variants.
In my case, while trying to update products I was scrolling though through them and noticed that the variant image on the current product page was actually the image from the previous product page, it was also then replacing the sku and price and clearing out the variant inventory qty. Sorting by recent update is also not working.
This was happening on 2 of my stores with variants but not with the 3rd store that doesn't use variants.
Seems our problems are similar. The products we have are the same name but different quantities. We have full packs (8, 10 or 15) and sample packs of two. The price, quantity, sku and upc number were automatically chaging to the same. Most cases the full pack information was also reflected as our sample pack information. In one case, it was reversed and the sample pack information was reflected as full pack information.
This issue was first noticed when we scanned a retail customers product and the barcode was not recognized.
Spent two hours going through product listings making sure all product listings were correct only to discovered they were once again automatically changing.
I was in chat with a Shopify expert who noted my problem. As of Friday morning, Feb 3rd, our pricing for samples packs are good. Will see what happens throughout the day. Not a good time for this as Pro Bowl weekend is here in Las Vegas and we expect to see an increase in retail sales.
Could this issue be a Shopify computer programmer updating codes? My website designer only works on our site when I report an issue and it normally deals with design.
