Hello Shopify Community,
My name's Luke and I just recently started up my own store. This is my first time setting up a website/online business, so I'm learning as I go, but have been steadily learning a lot about SEO practices and how I can best drive organic traffic to the site,
I've done what I can on my own to make everything as fluid and easy to navigate as possible, but I'm trying to figure out what other aspects I can work on to get my first paying customers.
I don't have the funds at this current time to pay for any ad campaigns (should have that sometime next week), but I wanted to be as active as possible to try and generate some organic traffic.
Any pointers on what I could do to improve the site and fix any fatal flaws would be most appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Luke Wall
I sincerely apologize, I thought I was posting this in the Shopify Review section of the forum. I can't seem to find a way to move the thread to its proper forum. Any help would be really appreciated.
Hey there Luke @L3AM As an anime and manga enthusiast, let me start by saying I absolutely love the concept behind your art and store! In terms of suggestions, I would recommend that you have a few pictures with people actually wearing some of the shirts on the homepage. It doesn’t even have to be actual models, you can just have some of your friends help you put on the shirts and take pictures with them. I think it will make the products appear even more appealing.
Next would be to maybe include a short video of the process behind you creating the shirts. For example, a sped up video showing you creating and designing the art for the product could be helpful too.
I wish you and your store the best of luck!
Thank you for the reply!
I've been struggling a lot with what you just mentioned.
I currently stay with a relative in a very small town with no real market for what I'm selling, and all my friends, associates and network are technically all based in Osaka, Japan. I've had a couple of them say they would be willing to help, order some shirts and take some photos for me, but no one has really pulled through yet.
I'm hoping once I have some funds to use that I can send some samples to some micro-influencers and some of my friends back home. Have one or two really good photographers I know too who have said they'd be happy to help.
I have people who are willing to help and an awesome community. . . but it's hard to really garner that support when I'm stuck in the boondocks on the other side of the world.
Can definitely work on a process video. I already have a few sped up making of videos on my business instagram and tiktok accounts. Trying to use them sparingly though to avoid running out of content until the next batch of designs are done.
Once again thank you for your input, and I'll make the best use of it as possible as the resources come up.
You’re welcome Luke! Your store has a really nice vision so I genuinely wish you the best. I believe you’ll overcome the issues you’re currently facing
