Merging current Shopify with Wordpress Blog

We use Shopify for our main shop website alongside which we run a Wordpress blog on a subdomain. We would like to merge our Wordpress blog with Shopify so that they run on the same domain whilst still using both platforms.

Is anyone able to advise the best and most efficient way to do this?

Where is your domain currently hosted? And do you know if they have DNS management?

Is there a reason for not using the normal shopify blog for the blog? 

Namecheap do offer dns management, but I think I have it around the wrong way. I think you'd have to point the base domain to shopify, then set up a sub domain through shopify and point that back to the blog. Its a pretty convoluted process.

We fairly recently built the wordpress blog following recommendation, but since have understood it would be more efficient (for SEO etc) to be on the same domain...
