How can I resolve multiple theme issues on my homepage?

Hi,

I'm having issues with a few things on my homepage, Firstly there is a weird "f" on top of the screen:

Another issue is with the slideshow, I have a huge white space under it until the next section and also the circle icons are not aligned with the arrows on the slideshow navigation, is there a fix for all this headache?
