My website loading times is very poor - Need help on improving it

Hello there,

I’m experiencing slow loading speeds on my website 444active.com, and I’m not sure what the underlying issue might be. Despite compressing all videos and images on the front page, the performance remains poor. A recent Google PageSpeed Insights analysis gave me a score of 31, which is quite low.

The diagnostics provided by PageSpeed Insights include recommendations like "Avoid multiple page redirects" and "Reduce JavaScript execution time." However, I'm not very tech-savvy at all and I'm unsure where to begin in addressing these issues.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the results for reference. Could anyone guide me on how to resolve these problems or suggest where I should start?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi @RachaelJ

The errors already indicates what to do for enhance the performance of your site, first, reduce redirects by making sure all links go directly to the final destination. Then, minimize JavaScript load times by deferring non-essential scripts and cutting down any unnecessary code which is not being used. Preload large images like your banner so they load instantly, and switch your images to WebP format for better compression. Also, simplify your HTML by avoiding too many nested elements, and compress images properly. Minify your CSS files and set long-term caching for static files. Lastly, implement lazy loading for offscreen images to improve page speed.
I suggest if you don't have coding experience then it will be hard for you to handle.

well, you are not alone, in Shopify it is common situation, third party scripts, some heavy analytics from shopify, some third party analytics, then our "loved" apps from Shopify and you end up in the situation like this, where simple e-commerce stores loads like Nasa's heavy database.

Don't try to fix it yourself or using some random dudes, just first run the diagnostics/Audit of your Shopify store to identify the issues first.

You can google Shopify cro audit, there are plenty of them, we used shopify cro audit from  "cro media" and they just diagnosed everything right.
