Needing to show an option for a product that does not change the stock.

I sell original paintings and have one in stock for each product. I want to add a variant (ie hanging hardware installed or supplied only) as something they must select but not have it affect the inventory. 

I will also sell prints later so the same thing will not apply to that. It’s only for certain collections. 

Is there anyway I can do that?

Two ways, first is to use line item properties. Second way is to create a separate product, disable inventory tracking and edit your product template with the static product.
