Order Printer IOS App printing button and template options???

This may not be the best board for this but not sure where else to put it. Am I missing something? I have a template for my invoice, I am able to see it, edit it, and print it from my browser on my laptop but the IOS app prints with the print button and template selectors as part of the finished document.

Hey Adam,

Unfortunately the Order Printer by Shopify on iOS is full of bugs, and they don't seem to allocate any resources to fix them 😞

The issue here is that Shopify are not hiding the app UI when printing the actual documents, so your printouts get the app UI included. You'll also have issues if your document ever goes to more than a single page, Order Printer on iOS can only handle a single page. I've requested Shopify fix these things for years (I build templates for Order Printer) and never had any luck.

Has there been any update on these IOS bug fixes? 

I just started using the shopify app on my iphone and would like to be able to print an order print template invoice from the iphone but am having format issues.

It prints OK from Mac OS laptop though. 

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey there,

I don't think so unfortunately. The "Order Printer" app is run and supported by Shopify.. so it's them that need to fix the issues on iOS 😞 We just provide custom templates that can be used in their app, so we have no control over how their app works. I wish I could fix it for them!

One alternative is to use my "Order Printer Pro" app instead, which does not have the same issues on iOS: https://apps.shopify.com/order-printer-pro

are there any news, updates or workarounds on that case? We would also like to print our orders on an iPad, with the Shopify app, but its the same problem there. So sad that Shopify isn't capable to fix that problem for years now...

Unfortunately not, same issue still persists in Shopify's Order Printer. As mentioned above, our own Order Printer Pro app works correctly so that would be the only alternative, until Shopify fix their app.

14/02/25 and the issue is still there. It would be nice if we could get a fix from Shopify! 

Any workaround by anyone?
