Order Status Page Not Updating Beyond "Thank You (NAME)"

Howdy, everyone.

 

I'm hoping to find some help with my website, as I recently reached out to two developers who were unable to help me.

 

My website has suddenly stopped updating the order status page. So when a customer breezes through checkout & places their order, they're greeted with "Thank You, (customer's name)!" and their order number. It does not show any other information, no sign up button for dispatch notifications, no address, no cart summary, nothing.

 

When the customer then received their "Order Confirmed" email, if they press to see the order status, they are taken back to the same blank page. No valuable information at all.

 

This has happened in the last couple of days, and I really cannot wrap my head around it. I have a backup of my Store's theme from before this began, but a lot of work would be removed if I had to back up to that last version.

 

I hope someone has had a similar experience and can help me with this. Thank you!

I've reached out to Shopify Support, but they are understandably overwhelmed at this moment in time with support tickets. So hopefully I can find a solution here before that!

Is this something customers have explictly sent you images of, or is this what you see in your browser environment?

And does the thankyoupage work in the backup?

Are you using any apps that interact with that page?

Do you have custom additional scripts running on that page?

Are you on shopify plus plan and have modified the checkout templates?

Do you have an order testing process in place to aid bug hunting?

I know this has been a while, but I am running into the same issue when someone completes an order. It's blank except for the store name, order ID, and "Thank you name". I saw that running a test because Shopify stopped sending conversions to Google Analytics.

Did you ever get this resolved?

Wondering the same here. My customers have the same issue -- zero info displayed when they click through from the confirmation to the order status page.

I figured out what was causing this on my end, but not sure if it will be the same for you.

I had an error in the settings > checkout > order processing box where you can place additional scripts.

I accidentally placed a piece of code outside the close javascript tag and it broke the page. Hope that helps. So it was definitely on my end, not Shopify.

How to fix the order status broken page? I think we have the same issue.  Status page does not show any information except the order number and Thank you! It looks that its broken. No additional scripts are currently on it. We have tried to use a script for an affiliation program, but we have deleted and the Order Status page stull blank. 😞
