We've been working with a shopify site for a year now, and most of our product pages don't rank. We've optimized them using Moz on-page grader, and have good quality original content. We have good alt-text on our images, the site is super fast, and we don't have any core web vitals issues.

We rank well behind our competitors, but I can't find any explanation for it. Our content rates better with Moz and other optimization tools, we have better DA, more and generally higher quality backlinks, and we're not just copying and pasting product listings.

Our collection and brand landing pages rank pretty well, it just seems to be an issue with the product pages. Google ignores them and offers up a blog or generic page instead that's way down on the second page or worse. I have a feeling that we have a technical problem that we're unaware of.

We recently came across the duplicate content issue with the way that collections work in Shopify, and last week we fixed it, but that has me wondering what else we may have missed.

I'd like a good quality technical audit and comparison between us and a competitor, but I'm also open to any suggestions the board has. Our site is:

Overall sounds like a canonicalization issues and tools like moz.

If product description pages, PDP's , use breadcrumbs or other meta navigation check code related to those. As it's easy to have links like /collections/collectnameA/products/productname , /collections/collectnameB/products/productname , /collections/collectnameC/products/productname through out a site.

If you migrated check redirects.

Also check that your using the default unmodified robots.txt.lquid.

Beyond that for actual technical solutions by contributors for free the question needs to be much much much more specific.
