Problem Verifying And Claiming Your Domain - Google Merchant Center Account

I get an error "Your domain is already claimed by a different account. Click below to transfer the domain claim." (with the "transfer my domain" button below) when trying to connect the Google merchant account via Google and youtube app on Shopify. Could this be due to the different emails I used to create a Namecheap acc (where I bought the domain) and a Shopify account? If so, how should I resolve this? Should I maybe go to Namecheap and put my Shopify email under the "change ownership" or "share access" section? I fear if I click "transfer my domain" I could get flagged (I read something like this is possible). Thanks!

It sounds like you have two Google accounts and two Google Merchant Center accounts being used with different emails. If you're not actively using these accounts, you can follow the steps given in the channel to transfer the domain to the new account.

Be very careful what you do. If your first account is suspended, do not transfer.

Try to find the original account and make sure you connect your Google and Youtube app to the correct original email address, not a new account.

Creating a new account when an old one is suspended, may cause a perma ban.

I think the issue is the fact I used two different emails for creating my Shopify and Namecheap accounts. I think the issue would be resolved if I changed the ownership of the domain in my Namecheap dashboard to the email I used for my Shopify. However, I am waiting for someone who knows what should I do to help me, cuz the last thing I need right now is to get flagged or banned right before going live.

that's not the problem. I linked the domain to both shopify and Google
