products are not appearing in collections on front end

We have a few products that are set to active that will not show up in any collection groups they have been added to either manually or automatically. We have made sure that they are 'active' and have appropriate sales channels activated. They can be seen within the collections on the back end but will not appear on the front end.

I understand that you have added your products to your collections and they are not being displayed on your Shopify store. Great job on checking the visibility and activating the sales channel of the products and collections. The most common issue in this situation is that your navigation menu is not up-to-date with your collections. In order to update it, you will want to follow these steps: 

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Navigation.
  • On the Navigation page, click the name of the menu that you want to add the link to.
  • In the Menu items section, click Add menu item.
  • In the Name field, enter the name of the collection. This will be displayed to customers.
  • In the Link list, select Collection, and then select the collection that you're adding a link for.
  • Click Add.

You can also double check this by heading over to your Collection page, and clicking on the View button to see if you are able to see the products there.

I can see them in the collection (in this case I’m trying to see in ALL so there are no conditional barriers). The items are in the collection back end, they disappear when I click view however. On the individual products I can navigate to them one by one if I use the “view” option in the product back end but the items still do not show up in any of the collections they are assigned to. Other items with the exact same settings show within the collections in question on the front end of the shop. Only difference between these items and the other is that they have 2 variants per style (magnification measurement).
