Redirecting Shopify home to alternative URL outside of Shopify

Hi there, 

I'm trying to redirect shopify home page to an alternative URL that outside of my shopify store. 
I cannot use the URL redirect tool as it doesn't seem to apply to home pages, only pages that are paths. 

I'm currently using the Debut theme. 
Please help!
