Hello,
This is my first question here and I need community help.
We have a store that based on theme and it's already translated via built-in translation tool, but we have a problem.
At checkout we using the Alternative payment methods: Credit and Debit Cards Payments and our store in Ukrainian.
We need to translate this label (Image attached). Can someone help me with it?
Regards,
Alex
Hello @Shepa !
Translating checkout fields manually:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout.
In the Checkout language section, click Manage checkout language.
Make your changes to the checkout fields
Click Save
Alternatively, you can change your entire checkout language.
Select a new checkout language:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout.
Scroll down to the Checkout language section.
Click Manage checkout language
Click Change theme language, then choose a language from the drop-down.
Click Save
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Digital Artisans
Thank you, but there no label for translate.
Any Shopify experts here?
I am experiencing exactly the same problem. Went to Shopify support, they forwarded the issue to our Translating tool's support who in turn said it's a Shopify problem. Stuck in a vicious loop here.
It's hard to believe that no other Shopify store that sells in more than 1 language doesn't have custom payment methods.
This needs to be sorted, as the customer experience in the checkout is subpar, to say the least. Customers call us to figure out which payment to select (not a great UX) or just abandon the checkout at the last step because they can't figure out what each option means.
Is there any update on this matter?
Thank you
No, I didn't find any solution and Shopify was not able to provide it too. As always no support from their side =\
Now, you can easily do this using the BeSure Checkout Rules app. Here are the steps,
1. Inside the app, create a new rule for "Rename payment methods" under the "Payment" section.
2. In the rule, enter the current name of the payment method and then the new or translated name you want it to show instead.
Click on save rule and done. Works even for basic Shopify plan as well.
Hello @Shepa ,
I know its after a long time but as Shopify has now interduce new API, it is possible using https://apps.shopify.com/payfy-conditional-payments APP.
Easy to rename using APP.
1) from app's main page, Click "Create a customizing" and select "Translate/Re-name" Rule
2) select ALL in a country. and set OLD and NEW name.
There a live chat also available from app's dashboard. I hope this works you.
