I was not getting the emails sent through my contact form. I suspect because the mail address was an alias of another address. Can I still recover these mails somewhere?
First, was your email entered correctly? Refer https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/your-account/manage-account/#change-your-store-owner-account-emai...
If you want to get your previous emails back, you need to contact Shopify.

If it works fine now, then this is true.
With previous emails( email@example.com ), you need to contact Shopify for support, but this is hard to get back.
