Schedule availability but keep page visible? or automate adding inventory amounts to multiple produc

7 1 2

I'm looking to see if either of these two techniques are possible in Shopify to help us manage our store opening. We drop new products at a certain time every two weeks and our current system of hiding the checkout button through manipulating the code isn't ideal as it doesn't always update instantly in certain browers or countries. I'd love it if there was a way of making every ready to go and then products automatically become available at a certain time instead of pulling multiple (metaphorical) levers and hoping it works.

Is there anyway I can use the Schedule Availability feature (which works great) whilst keeping the product page visible but just with it's ordering disabled? Having the product completely disappear and Error messages showing from sections on our store front isn't ideal.

Is the any app or technique where we can automate adding stock to the inventory of X, Y and Z? So having the pages up there showing Sold Out and then at 2pm there's availability across the products with the new amount of stock?

Thanks for your help.

I know this is old, but i am looking for the same functionality. I want to schedule a launch, but not hide my products. Have you found a solution? I do have locksmith enabled, but i still want to automate the availability.

Hi, @TwistedMyst.

Welcome to the Shopify Community, and thanks for being part of the thread.

I understand you're looking for a way to schedule a product launch, but not hide your products.

For this functionality, you can explore the app Launchpad which is a scheduling app that allows you to schedule product visibility and select specific products to publish. You can add a new product and set its status to Active, deselect all sales channels, save your product and create an event in Launchpad and select Publish products across your sales channels
