Schedule coming soon products using metafields

Hi.

I'm a beginner with liquid codes and need help with coding. 

We are using the theme Impulse.

What we want to do is activate certain products but show them as "coming soon" in the product page until the release date even if the inventory is more than 0.

ex. If the launch date is August 1st, we want the "add to cart" button changed to "coming soon" until July 31st.  And change to "add to cart" on August 1st. We would also like the launch date added above the coming soon button as text.

From what I read, this can be realized using metafields but I don't know how to write the liquid codes to actually have it work on the product page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
