Search field doesn't appear on first click at magnifying icon

I am having a shopify store, The scenario should be

when the magnifying icon on shopify is clicked, a search field will be appeared without page load. User can enter what they are looking for and the results will be populated in a modal.

instead what happens now is when the magnifying icon is clicked it is redirecting to URL xxxx.com/search? and the result is -0 results for ""

Yea, sorry for the delay Kani!

There was an inappropriate script running in the back. That was preventing searching. Removing it is fixed the issue.
