Secondary Store with Primary Domain redirecting to my other store

Hello. I have two domains. I originally had both domains set up within the "main store" but realised that the secondary domain was redirecting to my main store which is NOT what i wanted. (I did not want to delete the secondary domain in fear of what that might do to the mail and txt and other DNS settings I had set up for emails ect.

So to get around this I have created a secondary store and transferred the domain over... that went fine and when I put in the address without the www it works. BUT if I put www."webaddress".co.uk then it redirects back to the first main store.

I have amended DNS settings to do CNAME (www shops.myshopify.com)  and a subdomain to include www. however it has been about an hour now and that has not worked..... 

Any ideas or do I just wait and see if it takes some time to self sort?  Thanks 🙂
