Sell Cars or Motorcycles

Has anyone used Shopify to sell cars or motorcycles?  Not the parts but actual major units?  I was wondering about the best way to do that.

We already have a store setup for our apparel and parts.   We have a inventory available online through a dealer management system.  So the feed can come via csv or xml.  I started thinking about this when trying to setup a meta catalog for the inventory and started running into pixel and setup issues.  Shopify already integrate easily with meta which makes running ads easy.  So I thought about adding our motorcycles to our shopify site.

I guess first step is setting up the products and importing inventory.

It is an interesting question. And technically you can sell cars or motorcycles but question if you should. the first thing you should check are fees. Higher value items may require different fees so you should check with a Shopify representative directly. And there is probably a lot of legal documents you need, some extra taxes. Plus you should consider shipping and returns, how would customers test?  Be also prepared to secure your process as that could attract a lot of fraudsters. The easier part is to make a good-looking store with some extra features like videos or 360 views.

For cars think custom solutions are made in the most cases. That way you control every part of it and can tailor it to your needs.
