[SEO issue] Does this link pass juice?

I was exploring competitor's website on SEMrush. I find this:

Screenshot 2024-12-13 at 5.01.08 pm.png

The 1st link is a 302 redirect. The 2nd link is a bing image SERP page.

How to get backlinks like this? Can they help the domain authority?

Do themes affect?

Hey Cyagain!

It looks like you came across some interesting links. Let's break them down:

  1. 302 Redirect: A 302 redirect means the page is temporarily moved, and the link juice (or SEO power) doesn't really pass on as much as it would with a 301 redirect (which is permanent). If you're trying to build backlinks, a 302 redirect isn’t the best strategy since it doesn’t pass as much authority to the new page.

  2. Bing Image SERP Link: This is actually a link coming from Bing's image search results. Backlinks from image searches can be helpful, but they're not as powerful as text-based backlinks. If you're looking to get these types of backlinks, make sure your images are optimized with good alt text and relevant titles, and maybe even submit them to image sharing sites.

  3. Do Backlinks Help Domain Authority?: Yes, backlinks do help! But the quality matters more than the quantity. Getting backlinks from high-authority sites related to your niche is way better than random sites with low authority. So, always aim for relevant, trusted sources.

  4. Themes Matter: Absolutely! The theme or niche of the site linking to you is really important. A backlink from a website that shares a similar theme (like fashion for a clothing brand) is much more valuable than a backlink from a completely unrelated site (like tech).

In short, focus on getting backlinks from trusted sites in your niche, and make sure your images and content are well-optimized! Keep doing that, and you'll see the benefits in your domain authority over time.

Good luck!
