Shapes Theme Glitch

Hello! I have recently selected the Shapes theme to demo for my store, however when I go to customize it, I am not allowed to actually view the site as a whole.. it just has the "your cart is empty" page up and won't allow me to actually view the site. Would love to know how to resolve this if there is a resolution!
