Shapes Version 1.3.0: Removing Cart Icon from Header

Please could someone help me with removing the cart icon from my store header? Right now I am using a trial version, with the plan of upgrading my account and making the site live at the end of this week but I don't want to without removing the cart icon (products aren't ready for launch yet). 

I have searched through shopify community pages for hours and watched youtube tutorials but for some reason the solutions provided don't remove the cart icon? 

Please can someone help me? Hitting desperation over here! 😀

If you have a trial version of the theme, I am afraid you cannot edit the code to make this change.
