Shipping charge apply on Grand Total instead of sub total

Example: When a customer has an order with an amount that allows him to get free shipping (let’s assume $205 dollars), and he uses store credit for let’s say $200, his total is now $5. Shopify calculates shipping based on total which is here $5 and not his subtotal which is $205, so it ends up charging him for shipping (which should have been free).

Thank you for providing this feedback about the shipping rates at checkout when using a discount code. I can definitely appreciate how it would be beneficial for the customer to have the shipping rates that are price based to be calculated off of the subtotal. While this is expected behavior at this time, I will be happy to share your feedback to our developers for consideration.

We're getting some weird behaviour with multiple shipping origin's where the cost of one origin raises the price above the threshold for free shipping on another origin which then gives free shipping for that origin's shipping zone.

I don't have an update on this at this time but it sounds like you are seeing some behaviors based on some unique order situations. 

If you haven't yet, I would reach out to partner support to report this along with some sample orders or abandoned carts that showcase what you are seeing. This way additional feedback can be submitted along with examples.
